William was born on April 19th, 1888.  William's father was Mr Henry Robinson and his mother was Hannah Williams.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Robinson and Ellen Wardle; his maternal grandparents were William Williams and Mrs Laura Griffiths. He had five brothers named George, Henry, Herbert, Thomas and Jack.  He was the second youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 29 in September 1917.
