Death Notes
Born in St. John's Liverpool (src: Military record)
Killed in action - his father Henry used to say that he was shot between the eyes.
This is the curcumstances of his death.
‘about which time the marines under Major Luke attacked and took the military school. A stout defence was made, but inside of half an hour the allied troops had climbed the walls and crossed the gate, the military students, retiring to a large room upstairs, from 'which they maintained a galling fire. Refusing to surrender, some sixty or seventy barricaded themselves in and made a last stand there; and when an English bluejacket battered in the ,door with an axe they shot him dead and served another in like fashion before the attacking force got in and bayonetted the whole lot.’
Henry was the Bluejacket.
